Pat & Emmitt Smith Charities (PESC) is a 501(c)(3) public charity that creates and funds unique educational experiences and enrichment opportunities for underserved children. Focusing primarily in North Texas, PESC's TEAM 22 program partners with established organizations to provide a multi-year curriculum for underserved students, accessing and funding opportunities such as a summer camp, tutoring and leadership training.
As the weather grows warmer in North Texas, Pat & Emmitt Smith Charities prepares for its biggest and most substantial event of the year, the Emmitt Smith Celebrity Invitational. On May 11-12, stars from the world of sports and entertainment will join in DFW for a weekend of golf and charity, raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for deserving and underserved youth.
This year, which will mark the third anniversary of the event, the Emmitt Smith Celebrity Invitational will also honor the 20th anniversary of the 1992 Super Bowl Champion Dallas Cowboys. Troy Aikman, Michael Irvin and Daryl Johnston will join Emmitt and several other former teammates from that Championship team at the The Westin Stonebriar in Frisco on Friday, May 11. Several of the celebrities and athletes in attendance will tee it up for a round of golf the next day, Saturday May 12, at TPC Craig Ranch in McKinney.
