2013 EMMITT SMITH CHARITY INVITATIONAL
Annual charity event to be May 10-11, 2013
The fourth annual Emmitt Smith Celebrity Invitational presented by Softlayer has been scheduled for May 10-11, 2013 and will feature celebrities, athletes and dignitaries coming together to raise money for Pat & Emmitt Smith Charities (PESC). The golf tournament will be on Saturday, May 11, at TPC Craig Ranch in McKinney, TX, with a gala at the Omni Hotel in Dallas the previous night.
A Good Cause
This year, PESC is collaborating fundraising for North Texas kids with Star Children’s Charity. Star Children’s Charity also raises money for the advancement of children in North Texas.
Honorary Co-Chairs Jan and Jeff Rich and Event Chairs Carole and Scott Murray along with a strong host team of over 100 members from Dallas and Collin Counties will lead the charge to hit a goal of raising a net of $350,000. Funds will go to provide educational and enrichment opportunities for underserved kids in North Texas through our own Team 22 program and through grant distribution in 2013.
Fay Sawers Productions will produce the event this year.

Friday, May 10
Friday, May 10th, the Star Stiletto Strut, with Pat Smith as Honorary Chair, offers a luncheon event for the ladies at Neiman Marcus Willow Bend. Women will “strut for the kids” through the store and enjoy a celebrity shoe auction, drawing for $1800 in designer shoes, luncheon and fashion show in the store. Tickets start at $150.
Friday evening’s gala event will be held at the Omni Dallas Hotel. This year’s theme is “Dancing with the Smiths,” featuring friends of Emmitt’s from his two seasons on Dancing with the Stars. Melissa Rycroft, recent winner of Dancing with the Stars – All-Stars will serve as Honorary Host for the evening. The night begins with a VIP red carpet, followed by a reception, dinner, live auction, dancing with professionals and celebrities and other entertainment. Tickets to the event start at $250 each.
Saturday, May 11
The Saturday, May 11th, charity golf tournament again takes place the following morning at TPC Craig Ranch with players and other sports and entertainment celebrities partnered with each foursome, followed by an afternoon awards ceremony. Foursomes and sponsorships are available for the Saturday golf tournament separately or paired together with the Friday night event.
